Angels in America
I just saw this movie (6 whole hours). I am so amazed by the genius of everyone that had to do with it. The script is phenomenal, the actors were all awesome. I can't believe Meryl Streep was the old Rabbi!!??!!! Anyways, I really love this movie. There weren't any trying hard dialogue, or scenes, or acting. It's just awesome! I'm going to buy my own copy!
Now speaking of movies, I also watched Singles, with Ara Mina et al. Well, don't bother. For example, Ara's daughter's dialogue's so unreal. Children don't talk that way!!!! There were scenes that don't need to be there, like the wishing well scene. Or it could have been presented in a way that will link it to the rest of the movie. And why, oh why, should there always be a gay sidekick??? That's overdoing it! Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of gay friends and I love them dearly. But like every signle movie? Try redoing this movie, from the dialogue to the acting. The story might actually work.
Enough critique for a day. I have like 11 more Filipino movies to watch. Most of them are suspense/horror films. And I have Sabel!!!! They say it's really good. I'll watch it later. During breaks form my Research Paper! Arghhhh!
I can't believe the semester's halfway though. Just two more papers for research and the mini-term is over. OMG, as in, I actually survived research! Well, that's not official yet but I think I'm on the right track. Speaking of surviving, I am done with 2 days of clinical preceptorship, 10 more to go! So far, everything's cool. I still can't imagine how I ended up in pediatrics. Although I love children, my clinical experience with PD is actually negligible. But as I've said, so far, all's well. I have 10 more clinicals and 1 actual teaching. I am going to teach childhood depression, which has been my obsession since our Aggregate class. I still wish that school allowed me to conduct my assessment on bullying. That's really what I wanted. Oh well, getting into the school system is really complicated, and I didn't have enough time for that.
One more thing, I graduate in December! Yay!!!! One more semester and school's over. Ain't that something to look forward to??? You betcha!
Oh wow, I went from movies, to research paper, to graduation. Whew!
