my 3rd U.S. birthday....so far

2 hours 38minutes.....so far so good.

I had planned my day....I will go to bed early so that I can have an early start. I'll go to starbucks (to study, duhh!) and maybe go to the mall for window (take note) shopping. I was feeling sentimental, of course. This is my 3rd birthday when I did not have to cook for visitors,no family, no friends to go to Ratski with, when everything else takes precedence over this once-a-year affair, work, this *&%$#@ comps exam, due papers, etc. I'm off today, as opposed to the past 2 years. But still, I can't do anything coz everybody else is working or had other plans. So starbucks it's going to be for me. But that's ok, this is one of those days when I can probably take comfort in being by myself.

My friends threw me a surprise party. I cried, hahaha! That was so sweet. We were crazy, taking crazy (supposedly scary) pictures. We had so much fun. And guess what else? I get to have a 25 hour birthday because of the DST! Yipee!! Thank God for special friends.

3hours 5 minutes past and I'm chatting with my honey in Dubai...not bad...not bad at all.

aaarghhhh!!!! This comps thing is really taking over my life....here's how:

1. My mind is now starting to equate studying with starbucks.

2. I have not seen a movie for 2 months now.

3. I feel guilty whenever I watch TV (doesn't mean I don't watch anyway).

4. The very first thing I read when I wake up is my review notes.

5. The very last thing I read before I sleep is my review notes (Tuesdays with Morrie has been put on hold until after the comps).

2 weeks.....2 more weeks!

I will survive!!!!!!!!!

Update daw sabi ni Butch......let me count.....

1. 30 days to go before the comprehensive exam. Am I ready? A big fat NO!

2. Our grad pic taken last Thursday.....pangit! Kakainis. pwede yun na lang ulit sa FEU?

3. Me diabetes competency nako!!!

4. Nakarinig na ko ng murmur!!!

5. Pati na din S3 gallop!!! (babaw grabe!)

6. We went to the Natural Bridge Cavern, mega picture sa stalactites and stalagmites. How many times did the guide say "stay with me" nga ulit?

7. I (we) survived the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. As in mala-African Safari. Kaya lang, it was rainy so the animals were inclined to sleep. We saw where the jaguar was supposedly sleeping and the Hippo mud bath. We did see a lot of very very scary and aggresive Ostrich(s) and Wildebeasts.

8. And I went back to Austin the second time.......feeling tour guide.

9. What else? Yun lang po muna.
